The project is part of SEA BEYOND, the Prada Group initiative dedicated to ocean conservation through education. In this visual narrative, the ocean is not just a backdrop but a central presence, symbolizing a relationship that invites observation, understanding, and protection.

Stewards of the Ocean: Hawai'i

In the second episode of the 2026 documentary series produced by National Geographic CreativeWorks for Prada, Letitia Wright explores the coasts of Hawaiʻi, an extraordinary marine ecosystem where nearly a quarter of the species are found nowhere else in the world.

Within a context shaped by the principle of Mālama ‘āina, which reflects a deep connection between people and nature, she meets Titouan Bernicot, SEA BEYONDer and founder of Coral Gardeners, observing firsthand the delicate balance between environment and community. The journey continues with Kapono Ciotti and the discovery of the Hawaiʻi Blue Schools Hui, a program that engages students in local activities and projects, fostering a deeper understanding of the ocean and its protection.

Guardians of the Ocean: Japan

In the first episode of the documentaries produced by National Geographic CreativeWorks, Benedict Cumberbatch explores the waters off the Izu Peninsula in Japan, a rich and dynamic marine ecosystem shaped by ocean currents and unique geology.

During the journey, he meets Elisabetta Zavoli, photojournalist and SEA BEYONDer, and discovers the work of ichthyologist and educator Sakana-kun. Through the Sakana-kun Exploration Team project, elementary school children take part in educational activities designed to bring them closer to marine knowledge and the protection of marine life.

The Prada Re-Nylon for SEA BEYOND collection introduces a five-piece capsule that interprets iconic codes through a new chromatic energy. The designs, made from 100% recycled materials* and conceived to be fully recyclable at the end of their lifecycle**, are presented in the iconic Prada Re-Nylon palette, expanded this season with more intense hues.

The statement is based on an industrial chemical recycling process for polyamide 6 (net of process losses) and on dedicated recycling channels for metal, following prior disassembly. Upon reaching the end of their life cycle, the products may be given back to the Prada stores, which will manage the disassembly and oversee the recycling process.
