Prada Frames

IN SIGHT

April 19 - 21, 2026

Now in its fifth edition, Prada Frames is the annual symposium curated by design and research studio Formafantasma, held alongside the Salone del Mobile in Milan at the Santa Maria delle Grazie complex. Focused on ideas rather than products, the initiative sits at the intersection of design, culture, and society, fostering cross-disciplinary dialogue and critical reflection on contemporary issues.

Titled In Sight, this edition explores image-making as a defining element of contemporary culture, where representation often prevails over facts. Approaching the image as a cultural, political, and material force, the symposium examines the tensions between the real and the represented, as distinctions between human-authored and machine-generated images increasingly blur. Through lectures and conversations, the program reflects on visual cultures, the environmental and social costs of digital imagery, the political uses of images, and the economies of attention that shape their circulation.

The Location

The complex of Santa Maria delle Grazie, a historical site in the heart of Milan, hosted Prada Frames In Sight. The readings took place in the Sacristy, a Renaissance space traditionally attributed to Bramante, featuring inlaid cabinets with early sixteenth-century biblical scenes by Domenico and Francesco Morone.
