Prada Linea Rossa and Red Bull support Sandro Dias as he sets world records on a 22-story ramp.

 

Prada Linea Rossa is partnering with Red Bull athlete, skateboarding legend, and six-time vert world champion Sandro Dias, as he set new world records for height and speed by dropping from 70 meters above ground onto the world’s largest skate ramp.

The challenge unfolded at the Centro Administrativo Fernando Ferrari (CAFF) building in southern Brazil, whose design is often compared to a skateboard quarter pipe. The establishment was converted into the world’s largest ramp for the occasion, enabling Dias to fully utilize the edifice’s natural curvature and achieve the highest speed ever recorded in this discipline, exceeding 103 km/h.

Prada Linea Rossa, inspired by the human body and the duality between the demands of action and advanced textile development, provided Dias with high-performance garments and accessories that offered the perfect blend of comfort, mobility, and dynamic efficiency. These innovative, lightweight, breathable, and heat-sealed textiles were crucial in enabling the athlete to perform under demanding conditions, playing a significant role in the success of this groundbreaking challenge.

This project marks the latest chapter in the ongoing partnership between Prada Linea Rossa and Red Bull, showcasing their shared dedication to promoting sporting initiatives that empower athletes to push their limits.

About Sandro Dias

Sandro “Mineirinho” Dias is a Brazilian skateboarder and one of the most iconic figures in the sport’s history. Known above all for his dominance in the vert discipline, Sandro is a six-time vert world champion and the skater with more 900-degree spins landed than anyone else alive. Throughout his career, he has collected victories and podium finishes at major events around the world, including the X Games and Dew Tour. Starting at just 11 years old, his passion quickly propelled him from local competitions to the global stage, where he turned professional in 1995. In the 2005 X Games, he became the first athlete ever to land a 900 in competition, cementing his place in skateboarding legend. Today, he continues to innovate, inspire, and push the limits of vert skateboarding. His legacy is not only written in world titles and historic tricks but also in his unwavering dedication to progressing the sport.
