Prada Re-Nylon 2020

The Prada Re-Nylon collection is a groundbreaking evolution of the brand’s most recognisable signifier, nylon - an emblem of Prada’s distinct viewpoint on modern luxury, an industrial beauty, and contemporary life for more than four decades.

For Him

For Her

Re-Nylon is the next step in fabric technology and sustainable luxury - a textile that can be endlessly regenerated without loss of quality, a true cyclical luxury.

Prada Re-Nylon is entirely crafted from a regenerated nylon created through the recycling and purification of plastic collected from oceans, fishing nets, landfills and textile fibre waste globally. Through a process of de-molymerization, purification and then transformation into new polymers and then threads, this material can be recuperated and made into new nylon fabric.

The choice of the ECONYL® yarn for the Prada Re-Nylon collection actively contributes to the reduction of the global warming up to 90%* compared to the use of the virgin nylon yarn.

Expressing the aims, intentions and actuality of Prada Re-Nylon, as well as transparently underscoring the supply-chain of this unique project, Prada presents a new series of short films produced by National Geographic that take viewers through a remarkable journey across every continent of the world, from Africa to America, Asia and Oceania to Europe, revealing the inner workings of this unique enterprise.

Launched with a global-first preview at the Selfridges Corner Shop, the Prada Re-Nylon collection will be available soon on prada.com and in selected Prada boutiques and special pop-up stores, as follows: Japan, Tokyo Aoyama (from Sept. 19) - Korea, Seoul Chengdam (from Sept. 18), Seoul Hyundai Pangyo (Oct. 30 - Nov. 15) - China, SKP South (from Sept. 23), Shenzhen Bay MIXC (Oct. 23 - Nov. 15) - USA, NY Broadway (from Sept. 23) - USA, LA Beverly Hills (from Sept. 23) - Canada, Holt Renfrew Vancouver (Oct. 5 - Oct. 31)  - United Kingdom, Manchester Selfridges Exchange (Oct. 1- Oct. 29) - Thailand, Bangkok Siam Paragon (Oct. 29 - Nov. 15).
