The world of gaming generated more than $150 billion in 2019. Much of that revenue comes from the sale of avatar skins – or virtual outfits – and accessories within shoot ’em-up games such as Fortnite which has more than 80 million people playing each month.

So, what about the future of fashion and gaming? How can luxury brands connect with an emerging global generation, one which was born into the quest for online uniqueness and identity through fashion and style? How can brands transform gaming trends and data into fashion trends? And how can brands use gaming platforms to trial their products prior to manufacturing, thus streamlining demand and supply and radically reducing environmental footprint?

Elizabeth von Guttman

Elizabeth von Guttman has been working in the fashion and entertainment industry for over 15 years.

Entrepreneur at heart Elizabeth co-founded System magazine in 2013 which has become an unmissable publication for the fashion community.

Back in 2008 Elizabeth started Ever Manifesto with Charlotte Casiraghi and Alexia Niedzielski, a publication and initiative on sustainability in fashion and design, encouraging brands to be more conscious.

Elizabeth has been a LVMH Prize expert for the past two years and consults as well for many brands.

This month, in partnership with South Korean gaming company UMR Paris-based fashion insider Elizabeth von Guttman launches ADA, a new gaming platform that brings high-end fashion to the world. After three years in development, Elizabeth has experienced first-hand the realities of e-commerce, market research, sustainability, data, coding, the Chinese market, and the realities of convincing luxury fashion brands (Prada included!) to join the game.
