Mi Shang Prada Rong Zhai is Prada’s first standalone fine-dining destination in Asia, created in collaboration with acclaimed filmmaker Wong Kar Wai. The project connects Milan and Shanghai through a refined dialogue between art, history, culture and gastronomy, blending cinematic storytelling with sophisticated design that reflects the visual and cultural identities of both cities.

Wong Kar Wai’s concept of Tête-bêche, based on mirrored and inverted forms, permeates the space, harmonising Prada’s elegance with the historic character of Rong Zhai. The carefully curated interiors place Prada art collections alongside precious Chinese antiques. A key feature is the Rising Clouds, Blooming Flower series of woodblock prints, created with the Duo Yun Xuan Art Center, which brings traditional savoir-faire together with Shanghai’s vibrant aesthetic.
