The Sound of Prada Seoul

Reimagined for 2024, the latest edition of The Sound of Prada - Prada’s global series of live events celebrating music culture worldwide - debuted at Candy Seongsu in Seoul on October 24, 2024.

 

Exploring and enhancing Prada’s innate connections with culture and society, The Sound of Prada links the creative output of Prada with musical expression around the globe. Inaugurated in 2019 in Paris, this nomadic event has travelled the world, with iterations and reflections in London (2021) and Cannes (2022). The crucible of the global phenomenon of K-Pop, Seoul is a vital hub of 21st century music.

For The Sound of Prada Seoul, internationally-acclaimed, Grammy award-winning artist Anderson .Paak - also known as DJ Pee.Wee - led the creative direction, with a selection of musicians that celebrated the modern identity of Korea. Reframing The Sound of Prada through the singular vision of a curator, .Paak selected an array of talents, their work reflective of both international and local styles, in a dynamic and diverse cultural fusion.

Korean artist DJ Spray and Tokyo-based DJ MAYURASHKA featured, alongside a set by Anderson .Paak himself, his band and special guest Crush, creating soundscapes that blended genres and styles in a mirror of the attitude of now.
