An interpretation of the everyday cup, this Yunomi set has been fired in a gas kiln at Gates' studio in Chicago.

- This work is handmade and unique: variations in shape, size and tone compared to images are evidence of the makers' hands and a result of the alchemical processes of the kiln in which it was fired.
