“Belligerent Eyes” is a research project on contemporary image production. Conceived by Luigi Alberto Cippini and developed in collaboration with film director Giovanni Fantoni Modena, it is an experimental platform hosted in the spaces of Ca' Corner della Regina, the Venetian headquarters of Fondazione Prada, from May 27 to September 11, 2016. The project was born from the Foundation's desire to create a mutually stimulating relationship with younger generations working in the realms of cinema and visual arts research and production. This publication is the ideal conclusion of the project, narrated in a visual essay by Satoshi Fujiwara, a Japanese photographer who focuses on the effects and stress generated by prolonged exposure within an event continuously monitored by video cameras, in which one passes from boredom to indifference to a hypothetical form of resistance.Preface by Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli.
