Organized in collaboration with The Menil Collection, Houston, the “William N. Copley” retrospective retraces the entire career of the American artist that began in Los Angeles in the late 1940s, developed in Paris, and was subsequently consolidated between Europe and the United States. The volume, published on the occasion of the exhibition, contains six essays by scholars and art historians who discuss Copley's multiple and committed experience not only as an artist but also as an art dealer, collector, writer, journalist and publisher.Preface by Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli.
