The Luna Rossa team wore the innovative shoe at the 30th edition of the America's Cup, the pinnacle of yachting, making it to the final race against the defender Team New Zealand.
An expression of luxury sportswear, the lace-up sneaker complemented refined men's looks from the FW 2002 fashion show. In the same year, two new models entered the Prada America's Cup line, a high-top and a low-top with a strap closure, both inspired by the current zeitgeist.
During the FW 2018 fashion show, Prada presented a new design for the Prada America’s Cup sneaker, enhancing its unique and unmistakable style with innovative and lighter sole materials.
Prada relaunches the Prada America's Cup sneaker with its original and iconic silhouette and dual fabrication of textile and leather, plus an innovative extra-light rubber sole. The new "Beyond the Line" tag displays the season when the shoe first appeared in Prada's collections.
