Sam Taylor-Wood (London, 1967) is one of the most well-known and interesting exponents of "New British Art’’. After her debut as a sculptor, the artist deepened her interest in cinema, arriving at films and photographs that narrate situations invariably focused on the isolation of human emotions: discomfort, loneliness, provocation, euphoria, aggression and sexuality are the recurring themes of his focus. Her work, an expression of a radical and transgressive personality, incorporates photography, film, video, installations and sound, and as such has been defined as "Hybrid art-film’’.
