Near-Field Communication technology (NFC) connects two NFC-enabled devices, provided they are in close proximity to each other. This technology can be embedded into an object through an electronic tag.
The NFC tag can exchange information with a compatible smartphone when held nearby.
Where do I find the NFC tag on my product?
In most cases, the NFC tag is not visible, as it is integrated inside Prada products.
The positioning of the NFC tag varies depending on the product category:
Leather Goods: near the external logo, the buckle, the internal 'Made in' label, or on the dedicated external card.
Footwear: under the sole of the left shoe or on the dedicated external card.
Read to Wear: sewn onto the internal label of the garment or on the dedicated external card.
Jewelry: inside the dedicated card.
Home: inside the dedicated card.
No personal data is stored within the tags.
Can I deactivate the NFC tag?
The NFC tag can be irreversibly deactivated at any time. This will prevent access to the associated features. For more information, please contact Prada Client Service.
How can I obtain my Digital Certificate of Ownership?
You can request the Digital Certificate of Ownership for a selection of Prada products, as indicated on the individual product pages or in any content related to this initiative.
After purchase, you can request the Digital Certificate of Ownership by tapping the NFC tag integrated in the product. Once the tap is complete, enter your details and request the certificate by selecting 'Request certificate'. The request will be processed, and you will be able to download the certificate directly to the Wallet on your device after receiving confirmation via email.

Can I transfer my Digital Certificate of Ownership?
Yes, because it is a personalized document associated with the person who is the registered owner of the product at a given time. If the product is sold, it is possible to transfer its digital ownership through a procedure that allows the new registered owner to receive the certificate and access the services and benefits associated with it. Each transfer is recorded on the Aura Blockchain, ensuring secure, transparent, and verifiable traceability of the product’s ownership history over time.
To transfer the ownership, follow the instructions that you will find by tapping the NFC tag embedded in the product.
What happens to the Digital Certificate of Ownership if I return my product?
In the event of a return, Prada reacquires ownership of the returned items and the relevant Digital Certificate of Ownership will no longer be considered valid.
