Prada 520

On the day that has become a symbol of love, Prada celebrates the gentle strength of this unmeasurable feeling by narrating, through both imagery and film, a collection of ready-to-wear and accessories that, like love, conceal unexpected complexity behind their apparent simplicity.
In the images, models and still life are framed within sharply perfect natural landscapes, set amidst grassy slopes and fields of poppies, wooded areas, and meadows. The moving image depicts a couple gazing at each other against the backdrop of a crystal clear waterfall and other evocative settings, either en plein air or in a more intimate and domestic setting. Their wordless, loving dialogue is never interrupted, even as everything around them changes, including lights and colors, time and seasons, settings, and their clothing. A number of shifts in this narrative seem to cancel out distances and differences.

In a similar manner, the “Gestures of Prada” collection blurs boundaries between day and night, winter and summer, past and future, proposing a new perspective on Prada's identity. Incorporating a sense of classicism in the use of bright colors, floral decorations, and leaf motifs, clothing and accessories feature an intrinsic eccentricity that allows for unusual combinations, while hand-crafted techniques provide a sense of humanity to each element.

For women, the poplin shirt is worn with a wrap-around skirt. An open cardigan, layered over a voluminous skirt, reveals a minimal top. Everything is embellished with precious floral motifs, and the bags come in light colors. The men’s offering includes trousers with flowing lines, shirts with casual elegance, and jackets with sophisticated contrasting piping. Among the accessories, soft leather bags in tobacco shades complement the garments. For her, the iconic Prada Arqué bag appears in an exclusive wisteria-colored variant.
